So I returned to Asia. In particular to Singapore, where the houses of Laurent Chehere could have taken life and become real; the architecture of this city
would suit them perfectly. Everything is high-rise, with suspended constructions, as if weightless. The hotel-in-the-sky of Marina Bay Sands, with its hanging
gardens and its swimming pool two hundred meters high, for example, could have been a luxury version of the poor neighbourhood homes of Paris and
its suburbs which the photographer gives us in his
Flying House
series.
I want to travel more, to other continents, other cities... So I am secretly hoping that Laurent Chehere will take his series to other countries, so that I can
make a house trip with him... While I wait, every time I leave my apartment, I look up into the air.
